This autumn sees the arrival of two classical music seasons, meetings with composers and a performance by one of today’s stars of Italian song, Eugenio Bennato.

The Conde Duque Autumn Concerts return in October with two classical music seasons and a performance by one of the current stars of Italian song, Eugenio Bennato, a champion of tarantella, a popular folk dance that originated in Naples. The Italian singer-songwriter will be performing on 14 October in his Taranta Power show, which has been organised in conjunction with the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid.

Ahead of this performance, Conde Duque and the Unión Musical Ediciones/The Music Sales Group publishing house will be presenting, between 6 and 9 October, the Meetings with the Composer season in which the recitals will be accompanied by open discussions between the public and the performers and composers. The soloists include Alberto Martos (cello), Pablo Martos (violin), Josu Okiñena (piano) and Carlos Suero (electronics).

Lastly, the Boccherini Season will invite various performers and groups to play homage to the often under-appreciated musical legacy of the man who was one of the fathers of the modern string quartet, cellist and composer Luigi Boccherini, whose musical career was largely centred in Spain. A number of big name soloists and groups will be taking part in the season organised in collaboration with TopArt España, including Cuarteto Lyskamm, the duo comprising violinist Lina Tur Bonet and music director, pianist, accordion and harpsichord player Dani Espasa; and soprano María José Moreno alongside Camerata Boccherini directed by Massimo Spadano.
