Rehearsal Halls at Conde Duque
Terms and Conditions of Request
From 01 November 2017 to 30 June 2018
Location: Sala de ensayo de danza
Conde Duque makes one of the centre’s rehearsal halls available to the dance professionals who request its use.
Due to the large number of requests received and the commencement of the programme Latidos, availability of the rehearsal hall has lessened considerably and the possibility of reserving it has thus been suspended until further notice.
For several years now, Conde Duque has been strongly committed to dance, facilitating and promoting forums for research, dialogue and creation in the discipline. One of the ways it does so is by making one of the centre’s rehearsal halls available to dance professionals who request its use.
Who can use the hall?
Any creator who demonstrates that the hall will be used to rehearse an artistic project associated with dance and movement.
How can I arrange to use the hall?
By filling out the form with the requested information (date and hours of use, authorised representative and artistic project, company, title, activity, number of people who will work in the hall, specificities associated with rehearsing in the hall, etc.).
Once the request has been submitted, the centre will reply within a period of seven working days. If the request is feasible, the authorised representative of the company or project must sign a document accepting the Terms and Conditions for use of the hall.
What conditions apply?
Conditions of respect, coexistence and consistency with the request made:
The details given in the request must be adhered to:
-The date and timetable of the reservation.
-The project for which the hall was requested.
-The people that made the request (the representative associated with the reservation must be present during use of the hall and have ID to prove their identity, as Conde Duque’s technical or security staff may require their presence).
Respect must be shown for the centre’s facilities, staff, programme and regulations, as well as members of the public:
-The hall must be left in the same state of cleanliness and tidiness in which it was found.
-The person who made the reservation will be liable for any damage sustained by the hall during the period reserved.
-Any instructions received from the centre’s staff must be complied with when necessary.
-Any work being carried out in the hall must not interfere with the smooth functioning of the centre’s other activities.
-The hall has a general capacity for 38 people. In no event may this capacity be exceeded.
-Compliance with all regulations is the sole responsibility of the representative associated with the reservation.
For the purpose of managing reservations, the following criteria shall be applied:
-Only correctly completed reservation forms will be accepted.
-Reservations will be assigned following a strict order, which may only be deviated from on an exceptional basis, in cases where the projects submitted are considered important for the programme being offered at any given time in Conde Duque; such projects will be given priority.
-The hall may be reserved by the same person/project for a maximum of 40 hours per year, unless lack of occupancy allows for more rehearsal days.
-In the event that a reservation must be cancelled, this should be done with as much advance notice as possible.
-A person/company that fails to use the hall during the period reserved may not request another reservation until a period of one month has passed.
-Similarly, a person/company that has cancelled three reservations in a row may not request another reservation until a period of one year has passed.
-Reservations may be cancelled due to causes beyond the centre’s control. In this event, the representative associated with the reservation will be informed of the cancellation, and if possible the rehearsal will be changed to another date.
